Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Loco Punk

The Loco Punk is a fantasy monster truck patterned after an old-fashioned locomotive. This truck has casting details to make it appear as a locomotive like the coal and steam tank, cab, exhaust, and horn. The metal part is the coal and steam tank, but the rest are plastic. Paint designs are placed on the sides with the name of the truck and brand logos. I am ok with the paint designs because real locomotives look basic for the most part. The interior is not at the cab that is at the back of the coal and steam tank. Rather, it is in the metal part. I peeked under the wheel well to find it, and it is in the middle. It would be very difficult for the driver to see where he is going because there are no windows on the tank! Well, if you look at the fantasy world of Hot Wheels, anything is possible. Matchbox International Terrastar

The International Terrastar is one of the cool realistic models released by Matchbox in their mainline models. The metal part of the front has features similar to a real International truck like the downward-center sloping grille lines, lights, and bumper. The body has line shapes for compartments, doors, and a vent on the roof. Windows are present on the cab and passenger trailer of the truck. An ambulance warning light bar with the same color of the windows are on the roof of the cab. Paint designs mixed with white and gold cover the sides of the red body. It looks like an ambulance for a real hospital instead of one in the fictional world of Matchbox Originals. The model was made as a plastic body and metal base. The interior is non-existent. I tried peeking under the front wheel wells to see if there is some detail inside, but there is none. The plastic body and blank interior are probably cost reduction measures Matchbox did for this model. With those cost reduction measures,

Hot Wheels '55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser 50th Anniversary

The '55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser got the new Hot Wheels Car Culture treatment that usually gives more detail on the model. I say usually because some models in their new premium line still have missing details like brake light paints or front light paints. This cost-saving measure was done by Hot Wheels in the AMC Javelin from what I remember. Good thing this model has those details with the other 50th anniversary paints that go with the series. The casting details upgrade of this Gasser is the same with the previous premium version. It has the slim front wheels with new rims and thin tires. The back wheels have very thick tires and smaller rims, and wider than the front wheels. If you do not have the very rare versions of the Bel Air Gasser like the RLC exclusive ones, this is a good alternative to get for your collection. It is the same casting, yet easier to get. Hot Wheels '69 Dodge Charger Daytona

The '69 Dodge Charger Daytona is one of the longest muscle cars in our collection. I never had the chance to see this in action except when I watched Fast and Furious. I have to see more online videos of this interesting long muscle car running on race tracks. Some fans call this car as a wedge car based on its appearance. It does look like one because of the double tapered look in the front that makes it pointy. The large and slim back wing might have been added to keep the car down if it runs too fast. The interior has a couple of car seats in front and a bench seat at the back. It is a spacious car with the available seats. The paint designs are on the sides that have the name of the car and brand in the paint stripes, signal lights, and door handles. This is one of the models with all the paints on both left and right sides.
