I only had small scale Corvettes and always thought that they were just another muscle car. When this larger scale model came out at a wholesale store, I took a chance of getting one in addition to a couple of cars in the same series. Good thing I did it because I got to appreciate the beauty of Corvettes with this C06.
The model is 1:24 scale and has more details than the smaller diecast cars such as side mirrors, spoked rims, and plastic on the metal body. The interior is easy to see because of the opening doors. The paint designs are the large paint stripe in the center over the yellow body and the Corvette logos. The interior paint designs are extremely minimal and applied on the steering wheel. There is a sticker attached on the dashboard console behind the steering wheel, a regular feature of Maisto models.
I think this Icons series is a level below the Special Edition series because it lacks a fourth opening feature and the wheels do not turn. I remember Maisto making models at this scale that has the wheel turning feature, but those were in the 90's. They most likely omitted this feature to lower costs.
The Corvette looks good in this basic Icons series in its signature racer yellow body appearance.
