The 2016 Corvette Stingray is one of my favorite Matchbox models because it looks good and detailed. It originally appeared as a police car in the Matchbox Originals world. As police car it used to have a casting detail of a police bar light on the roof and a fictional police department paint theme on the body. Now as a Superfast model, the Stingray looks mostly the same but customized to be a racing car. The paint designs are in the right places like in the front and back. There are more in the body like the paint stripe in the middle and air vents. The interior remains the same as the police version because of the computer casting on the driver seat is still present. The moving part of this Stingray is the front hood. The model does not disappoint because the engine also has paint details. The Vogue looks nice and modern as a Matchbox Superfast model. It has the premium treatment of truck type real rider wheels, paint designs in the right places, and side mirrors. It has a detailed interior colored with beige like what you can see in a real SUV. As a Superfast premium model, the Vogue has an included cardboard box with its graphic version on the sides. Being a moving parts model, the back door can open and close. The opening part by the way, is made of plastic with some paint for the panel and window border. It is easy to open the door compared to the BMW i8 within the same series. Matchbox continues to return some of its earlier features in the Superfast 50th Anniversary series. The BMW i8 appears in premium form with real rider wheels, more paint designs, and opening features. The opening features or moving parts in this car are the doors. You can open the doors up to reveal the interior. It looks great with these moving parts and it gives new collectors a glimpse of how the old Matchbox models work. I thought the moving parts in the premium Superfast has more metal, but it does not. It is merely a tiny upgrade of the other moving parts line that is non-Superfast. The tiny upgrade is the packaging and the included collectible cardboard box. The i8 still has plastic on the opening doors. The doors are a pain to open in this i8 because of how it was designed.
